All Cardillo Weight Belts are handcrafted in the USA with authentic garment leather. Our belts are made to last you a lifetime, but you should still take care of it to keep it in the best possible condition.

  • Store it in a dry place – leather allows the passage of air, allowing moisture to dry naturally to maintain its rigid yet soft condition. If you store it somewhere where it is exposed to high humidity or liquids, the leather will absorb it, potentially leaving water stains or unwanted odors
  • Clean it on a regular basis – wipe it with a damp cloth to protect your Cardillo Weight Belt from dust, dirt, and sweat. Do not submerge the belt in water! This will prevent your belt from aging, as well as absorbing sweat odors
  • Keep it unbuckled when not in use – keeping your belt in a spiral form can cause it to lose shape, and you’ll need to straighten it out of its bent shape when trying to use it. Avoid this by storing it unbuckled and unbent!
  • Avoid storing it in direct sunlight or in a heated area – if exposed to extreme temperatures for long periods of time, the leather can become brittle and stiff
